Session Summary and Beginning of Panel Discussion: What have we learned about the meaning of Intact Ecosystems and Resiliency?

A summary of the key messages from the presentations included in the day's session will be presented for those who were unable to attend all of the presentations.  We will then begin the panel discussion with the audience and speakers from the "Large Landscape Conservation: Resiliency and the meaning of Ecosystem Intactness" will discuss strategies for moving forward.  Have we learned enough to form a definition of "ecosystem intactness"?  Do we need a different phrase to describe how ecosystem intactness is altered by invasive species, climate change or other forms on landscape change that isn't the result of human development?  How do we begin to identify the key threshold levels where change is effecting ecosystem resiliency?  These are some of the questions that we hope will be included in our dialog across presenters and with the audience.
