Burlington County is New Jersey's leading agricultural county and the leader in farmland
preservation with more than 50,000 preserved acres. Burlington County has used a
combination of transfer of development rights (TDRs) and the purchase of development rights (PDR)
to preserve farland. A particular case study, Old York Village, will be explored which combines TDR
with the development of a new town.
