Part 1: National extent habitat modeling for the National Gap Analysis Program. In this presentation we will provide a brief overview of the species modeling efforts of the National Gap Analysis Program.  We will emphasis examples where the high thematic resolution map legend supports more precise mapping of species habitat and provide examples of current applications of the national land cover and habitat modeling.

Part 2: National Extent Mapping of Existing Vegetation for the LANDFIRE Program. In this presentation, the LANDFIRE mapping effort to date will be described with an overview of the products and mapping methods.  Useful tips for working with the data and applications examples will be offered.
