From Vision to Large Landscape Conservation Action: the Wildlands and Woodlands Initiative in New England

This presentation will provide an overview of the New England Wildlands and Woodlands (W&W) Initiative, including the conservation challenges facing the region; the development and value of the W&W vision; and the growth and trajectory of this collaborative initiative in the areas of research and science dissemination, policy and funding, and leadership support of collaborative conservation “Regional Conservation Partnerships (RCPs)" in the region. This talk will help provide a road map on how to go from vision to action in large landsape conservation, and will provide context for the subsequent presentations in the session.
