The California LCC has funded over two dozen applied research projects investigating the impacts of climate change on species and habitats and how this knowledge can be used to make decisions about conservation of these resources. The results from these projects are being delivered to natural resource managers in the form of reports, data, workshops, webinars, and decision-support tools. The CA LCC uses its online digital library, the California Climate Commons, to provide access to these materials in a coherent and usable manner. The Commons features searchable catalogs for projects, data, documents, websites, and tools, from CA LCC funded projects and beyond. Featured articles introduce projects and key concepts, and guide the user through available resources. Important datasets are made available for download with metadata, and all types of materials can be found with one universal search interface. The Climate Commons is an excellent resource for anyone looking for scientific data and guidance information useful for incorporating climate change into conservation planning, and getting started with "climate-smart" conservation.
