Biographical Sketch:
Marcelle E. (“Marci”) DuPraw is a collaboration specialist with over 25 years of in the environment and natural resources arena. She holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Policy, Economics, and Management from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California. Marci has provided facilitation and mediation for a wide range of issues, including ecology; wildlife; forestry; wilderness; landscape scale ecosystem restoration; climate change; water quality, water quantity, storm water management; watershed management, watershed restoration; river management; flow restoration; solid waste; hazardous waste; and environmental and public health. In addition to working as a full-time mediator and facilitator, Ms. DuPraw is nearing completion of a PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University. Ms. DuPraw particularly enjoys helping others work effectively together to address complex natural resource management challenges and to work well together in multi-cultural groups. Ms. DuPraw has worked in Russia, Estonia, and Cyprus, as well as with over 30 Native American tribes. Ms. DuPraw has served on the Leadership Council of the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Environment and Public Policy Section, and of the Native Network. She served as the Spring, 2005, Visiting Practitioner to Syracuse University’s Program on the Analysis and Resolution of Conflicts. She currently serves on the University Network for Collaborative Governance, and is a member of the Large Landscape Practitioners’ Network. She was honored to receive the 2011 Sharon M. Pickett Award for Achievement in Environmental Protection through Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Association for Conflict Resolution.
