Biographical Sketch: Deanna Spooner is the Coordinator of the Pacific Islands Climate Change Cooperative (PICCC), a partnership of federal, state, private, indigenous, academic, and non-governmental conservation agencies and organizations dedicated to supporting climate change adaptation strategies and actions for biocultural resource managers. Over the past two decades, Ms. Spooner has worked in non-profit and governmental sectors with a particular focus on native ecosystem conservation and climate change adaptation. She is a co-author of the 2012 Pacific Islands Regional Climate Assessment report and contributing author on the Hawaiʻi and Pacific Islands Chapter of the 2014 National Climate Assessment. Ms. Spooner received her BA from the University of California at Berkeley and her JD from the University of California Hastings School of Law.
