Biographical Sketch: Dr. James E. McKenna, Jr. is a Research Ecologist with the USGS Great Lakes Science Center’s Tunison Laboratory in Cortland, NY. His research interests include Community and Ecosystem Ecology studies that support effective State and Regional management of living aquatic resources and their habitats. He and his co-authors lead the Great Lakes Regional Aquatic Gap Analysis Project and continue to study landscapes and lakescapes in the Great Lakes region, developing important decision-support tools to address climate change and habitat restoration.
