Biographical Sketch:
Charles C. Chester teaches on global environmental politics at Brandeis University and the Fletcher’s Global Masters of Arts Program. He is a co-editor of Climate and Conservation: Landscape and Seascape Science, Planning and Action (Island Press 2012) and author of Conservation Across Borders: Biodiversity in an Interdependent World (Island Press 2006). The latter book originated in his 2003 Fletcher Ph.D. dissertation, focusing on case studies of transborder conservation in North America. Chester has consulted for the Union of Concerned Scientists, the Henry P. Kendall Foundation, and other environmental organizations. He has served on the boards of Bat Conservation International, Root Capital, and the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative.
