Biographical Sketch:
R. Patrick Bixler is a research fellow at the Pinchot Institute for Conservation. He received his PhD in Environmental Sociology from Colorado State University, and he is particularly interested in climate adaptation that builds landscape resilience and delivers local livelihood benefits. His main areas of study and inquiry include social networks in environmental governance, community-based conservation, and social learning in collaborative landscape conservation and he has published in international resource management journals including Society and Natural Resources, Environmental Science and Policy, Journal of Political Ecology, and Journal of Environmental Management.
