Biographical Sketch:
Larry Fisher is a Research Professor in the School of Natural Resources and the Environment, University of Arizona. His teaching, research, and program outreach interests focus on large landscape conservation, public lands policy, environmental conflict resolution, and international conservation and sustainable development. Before coming to the University of Arizona, he initially worked with international NGOs on a range of agriculture, rural development, forestry, and conservation programs in Southeast Asia, then served as Director of the Program on Environment and Community (Center for the Environment, Cornell University), and subsequently worked as a federal mediator with the US Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution. He received a Masters in International Agriculture and Rural Development, and a PhD in Forest Policy and Management, both from Cornell University.
