Biographical Sketch:
Kate Gonick serves as In-House Counsel and Director of Land Protection for the Lancaster County Conservancy. The Conservancy is a 46 year old accredited land trust in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with a staff of ten (10). The Conservancy owns over 4,200 acres, comprising 34 public preserves, and over 1,000 acres of conservation easements. Kate has been with the Conservancy for over 5 years and was previously employed by the Brandywine Conservancy as a senior planner and The Pinelands Commission as archaeologist and planner. Kate holds a JD from Dickenson School of Law, Penn State and practiced land use law in Lancaster County for over 30 years. She also holds a Masters in Anthropology Archaeology from Temple University and taught Archaeology and Anthropology at Cheyney University.
