Biographical Sketch:
Sue brings with her a 30-year career in water resources management and facilitation with diverse interest groups. Her favorite projects link watershed science and communities with policy change. Sue just completed an eight-year tenure with The Tributary Fund where she facilitated resource management discussions, research activities and leadership exchanges in Mongolia, Bhutan and Montana. Sue came to Montana in 1982 to serve as State Water Planner, then as Director of the Montana Watercourse Water Education Program and Administrator of the Whirling Disease Foundation. Higgins was Director of Outreach for the Montana State University Water Center where she was responsible for managing federal funding for key water research initiatives in Montana. She holds a BS in biology and a master’s in natural resources management. Producer of a guide and documentary film with the same title: “Headwaters to a Continent,” Higgins resides in Bozeman, Montana with her family.
