Biographical Sketch:
Eleanor Mahoney is a PhD Candidate in History at the University of Washington in Seattle. She studies the intersections of labor, the environment, memory and place in twentieth-century America, with a focus on the 1970's. She has also held positions with the National Park Service and a variety of heritage conservation, public history and labor organizations in Appalachia, the Chesapeake Bay region and New Mexico and is currently Associate Editor of the Living Landscape Observer - www.livinglandscapeobserver.net.
