Biographical Sketch: Karen is a Project Manager for the Colorado River Delta Program with over four years of experience working in the Delta. She manages riparian restoration projects, conducts ecological monitoring and research, and provides program support in communications and fundraising. She is currently working to obtain a graduate degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, focusing her research on the effects of different restoration strategies on vegetation establishment and composition in the Colorado River Delta. Prior to the Sonoran Institute, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay and worked with non-profit organizations in California and Arizona. Karen completed her B.S. degree in Biology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
