Biographical Sketch: Alison coordinates The Field Museum's Youth Conservation Action program on Chicago's southside and is the co-chair of the Chicago Wilderness Next Generation of Conservation Leaders Working Group. Alison and the YCA team work with 150 teachers to engage over 3,800 4th-12th students annually. By working in partnership with schools, non-profit organizations, and land-owning agencies, The Field Museum uses a place-based education model to get teachers and students excited about nature in their own back yard as well as active on local urban conservation issues.  She has a M.A. in Social and Cultural Foundations in Education from DePaul University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago.
