Biographical Sketch: Michael Gale currently serves as the Communications Manager for Science Applications in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Michael has a broad range of conservation communications experience, having served as the Vision Communications Coordinator for the National Wildlife Refuge System and Special Assistant for External Affairs in the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.  The son of a West Virginia forest ranger, Michael has worked for a number of organizations, including the Association of Zoos & Aquariums and the National Geographic Society.  A Truman and Udall Scholar, he graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Zoology, studied EU conservation policy in Galway, Ireland on a Mitchell Scholarship, and received his Masters of Public Administration (MPA) at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
