Biographical Sketch: Brent Murry is a fulltime Fish & Wildlife Administrator with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and adjunct Scientist at the USDA International Institute for Tropical Forestry (and CLCC Headquarters) in Rio Piedras, San Juan, PR. He joined the CLCC in May 2013. Before joining the CLCC Brent was a Research Assistant Professor at Central Michigan University where he lead a lab group focused on food web ecology, predator-prey dynamics, fish passage, fisheries management, water level management, and wetland ecology. Though most of his work was focused on the Laurentian Great Lakes ecosystem; he has also worked in the hyper-saline coastal lakes of the Yucatan (Mexico), volcanic lakes of Nicaragua, and the mountainous streams of Dominica. He earned his doctoral degree (2006) and completed a short post-doc at the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry and did his Masters research at Frostburg State University and University of Maryland’s Appalachian Laboratory.
