Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Fernandez-Gimenez is a Professor in the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University. Dr. Fernandez-Gimenez was trained as a rangeland ecologist at the University of California, Berkeley. Her current focal areas of research and teaching are rangeland monitoring and collaborative adaptive ecosystem management, community-based natural resource management, the roles of traditional knowledge and science in resource management, and participatory research and community-based monitoring.
