Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Augustine is a Research Ecologist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service. His research interests include plant-herbivore interactions, the ecology and management of semi-arid rangelands, and conservation biology. His current research examines interactions among cattle, prescribed fire, and prairie dogs in shortgrass steppe, and the effects of these disturbance processes on vegetation heterogeneity and native grassland birds.
