Biographical Sketch: Alisa Gallant is an ecogeographer with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Earth Resources Observation and Science Center (EROS). She pursues interdisciplinary, multiscale land-science research to investigate (1) how land cover responds to changes in weather and climate and (2) how changes in land cover and condition affect the quality and connectivity of the landscape for provisioning ecosystem services, such as habitat. She also is part of a team developing an implementation strategy to substantially strengthen EROS’ future capacity to monitor, assess, project, and communicate information about land change.
