An "EPIC" Emerging Coalition for Metropolitan & Landscape Conservation

This presentation will focus on three parts. First, on an introduction to Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCC) and the process the Eastern Tallgrass Prairie & Big Rivers LCC  (ETPBR LCC) used to create collaboration across the landscape.  Next, an overview of the planning process and outcomes from the Midwest Urban Conservation Workshop, April 29th- May1st, 2014 in St. Louis, MO, will be discussed. Lastly, the creation and next steps of Ecological Places in Cities (EPIC), a multi LCC collective impact will be introduced. As a part of the larger panel, “Emerging Coalitions for Metropolitan Alliance and Landscape Conservation,” this presentation will focus on the common agenda and backbone organization of EPIC in regards to the Collective Impact principals outlined by John Kania & Mark Kramer.
