Planning for Recreation, Interpreting Industry in the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area

This paper will analyze the relationship between textile history, conservation and water access in and around Augusta, Georgia. It will look at connections between natural and historic resource protection, in the context of the establishment and management of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area.
