This presentation explores how a single federal agency can be instrumental in stimulating a process for building a collaborative large landscape conservation partnership. The National Park Service, charged through the Chesapeake Bay Executive Order with developing recommendations for land conservation and public access, intentionally engaged a diverse set of NGO, state, federal and tribal partners in collaborative deliberations. The presentation will describe the strategies for care and support of these partner gatherings and their work over five years and what has resulted.
